Ali Sports, the sports wing of Alibaba Group Holding Ltd, and Jiangsu Satellite TV formally reached an agreement on strategic cooperation on Thursday to jointly build a future digital sports ecosystem.
The two sides will carry out all-round cooperation in the Youth College Football League, China University Basketball League, China University Marathon League, Campus E-sports and E-sports Music Festival, according to the agreement.
In the meantime, the inaugural Jiangsu Satellite TV Beyond E-sports Music Festival, a collaboration of both parties, was officially launched Thursday.
The festival will integrate two elements of e-sports and pan-entertainment, and set up six major competitions, including star teams and electric teams at top domestic and international events, popular stars, game circle hosts and other popular network red stars.
The festival opened the curtain of the Beyond E-sports Union International Invitational Tournament by reaching out to more than 10,000 colleges and universities in more than 200 cities across the country with nearly 300,000 e-sports enthusiasts participating in the event.
