The second leg of the 2018 "Belt and Road" International Youth Outdoor Orientation Training Camp went underway in Zhenjiang city, Jiangsu province.
150 athletes from 15 countries including China, Finland, Sweden and Hungary participated in the training camp.
The training camp mainly targets outdoor orienteering, a new form of outdoor activity that originated in Europe.
Athletes need to use maps and compasses to identify the direction, choose the right route, and visit the various points indicated on the map. Those who reach all the targets marked on the map in the fastest time are claimed the winners.
The event is not only an outdoor leisure and entertainment sports, but also a competitive sport.
The competition in Zhenjiang is the second leg of the 2018 "Belt and Road" International Youth Outdoor Orientation Training Camp. The first leg is Nanjing and the next leg will be in Yixing, a small city in the south of Jiangsu.
