Reporters learned from Chinese Railway Shanghai Group Company Limited that the trial run of Qingdao & Yancheng Railway’s section from Lianyungang to Yancheng began at 7:00am and finished at 9:00am on Oct 19. In the next step, there will be a full-line running experiment. So far, the railway from Lianyungang to Yancheng, which is an important costal passage, has started counting down for its formal operation.
Located in the northeast part of Jiangsu Province, Lianyungang to Yancheng of Qing-Yan Railway passes through Ganyu, Haizhou, Donghai, Guanyun, Guannan districts of Lianyungang city, Xiangshui, Binhai, Funing, Sheyang and Jianhu districts of Yancheng city. The length of the railway is about 234 kilometers, and there are 11 stations which are north Ganyu, Ganyu, Lianyungang, Haizhou, Dongji, east Guanyun, Xiangshui county, Binhai port, east Funing, Sheyang and north Yancheng.(Among them, Lianyungang, north Yancheng are existing stations that have been renovated, and the other nine are the newly-built stations. The speed is expected to reach 200km per hour.)
Construction of Lianyungang-Yancheng section of Qingyan Railway started in December 2013, the whole line being finished in August 2017, static acceptance being carried out in May 2018, and expected to be open to public by the end of 2018. With a total investment of about 27.173 billion yuan, this railway is jointly sponsored by the Railway Corporation and Jiangsu Province, and managed by Subei Railway Co., Ltd.
From the statistics of the test, the indexes indicate that Lianyungang to Yancheng section of Qingyan Railway all meet the requirements of safety and stability of EMU running at the maximum speed of 200 km/h. The function and performance of traction power supply system, communication system and signal system meet the requirements of design and related standards.
