23 counties, urban districts or county level cities from Jiangsu province are listed in the country’s top 100 ranking, according to the research results of the China Science and Technology Index for Small and Medium Cities in 2018 that were announced Monday.
The number of counties from Jiangsu constitutes more than one fifth of the total. Kunshan tops the list, followed by Jiangyin, Zhangjiagang and Changshu.
22 urban districts from Jiangsu are listed in the country’s top 100 ranking of comprehensive strength. Wujin district of Changzhou, Wujiang and Wuzhong districts of Suzhou are among the top ten.
22 counties from Jiangsu are listed in the nation’s top 100 ranking of green development. Kunshan, Zhangjiagang, Taicang, Jiangyin and Yangzhong are among the top five.
The green development evaluation index system is evaluated on the basis of resource conservation, green living, pollution control, and ecological construction.
24 urban districts from Jiangsu are listed in the nation’s top 100 ranking of investment potential. Wujin district of Changzhou tops the list.
24 counties or county level cities from Jiangsu are listed in the top 100 ranking of scientific and technological innovation. Kunshan tops the list.
Kunshan also tops the list of the country’s 100 powerhouses of new type of urbanization. 19 counties or county level cities from Jiangsu made inroads into the list.
