East China’s Jiangsu province kicked off the provincial leg of the National Mass Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week in Nanjing on Tuesday. The national event went underway Tuesday in Chengdu, capital of southwest China’s Sichuan Province.
The list of the second batch of provincial-level mass innovation and entrepreneurship demonstration bases were announced at the launching ceremony. They include Nanjing Pukou Economic and Technological Development Zone and Changzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone.
It was announced at the ceremony that Jiangsu will soon establish a coalition of mass innovationand entrepreneurship demonstration bases consisting of national and provincial mass innovation and entrepreneurship demonstration bases to better gather resources and promote the deepening of the mass innovation and entrepreneurship campaign.
With the theme of “high level mass innovation and entrepreneurship for high quality development”, the mass innovation and entrepreneurship week will see organized exhibitions, conference forums, project roadshows and professional services throughout the province from October 9th to 15th.
From this year to 2020, Jiangsu will also invite academicians of the two academies to provide consultation and think tank services for the industrial parks across the province.
In recent years, Jiangsu has continuously deepened its reform of streamlining administration and delegating powers to lower levels by strengthening policy incentives, setting off a new wave of innovation and entrepreneurship.
According to statistics, in the first half of the year, Jiangsu registered more than 800,000 new market entities, 660 incubators of various types of technology enterprises, and over 30,000 incubating enterprises. New technologies, new products, new formats, and new models have kept emerging one after another. The new kinetic energy that has been born out of the mass innovation and entrepreneurship campaign is giving an increasingly large impetus to Jiangsu's economic and social development.
