The 5th China (Lianyungang) Silk Road International Logistics Expo concluded Friday. This year's Expo is not only a display platform for jointly building and sharing the international logistics channel of the New Asia-Europe Continental Bridge, but also a window for economic and trade cooperation and exchanges along the Belt and Road.
The "Container Cargo Terminal" project launched by Pakistan Giant Transportation this year includes shipping, air cargo storage areas and perishable goods storage, which will provide efficient container and logistics services for the local and international shipping industry. The person in charge of the company said that Lianyungang has connected the two continents of Asia and Europe, and its superior geographical advantage has become an ideal partner for his company to seek in-depth cooperation.
Since the launch of the Belt and Road initiative, Lianyungang has been designated by the central government as the eastern starting point of the International Economic Cooperation Corridor of the New Asia-Europe Continental Bridge, the China-Kazakhstan Logistics Transit Base and the SCO Seating Base. Lianyungang is therefore playing an increasingly important role in the country's opening-up development with more and more partners along the Belt and Road.
The China (Lianyungang) Silk Road International Logistics Expo has been held for four consecutive years since its inception in 2014, attracting 240 overseas government agencies, industry associations and logistics companies from more than 50 countries and regions including the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom and Kazakhstan as well as more than 1,560 Chinese firms and organizations.
