The acrobatic troupe from Sheyang County of Yancheng City in Jiangsu Province won the gold medal in the 6th edition of the World Festival of Circus Art "Idol" held by the Great Moscow State Circus.
The award-winning program by the troupe also won the "Golden Lion Award" at the 15th China Wuqiao International Acrobatic Art Festival in 2015 and the first place at the Figueres International Circus Festival in 2016.
Eight acrobats in the performance were all boys, with the youngest only 14 years old. Different from the traditional stunts on head, the performance stood out for the innovative choreography, jaw-dropping and beautiful body moves, and a display of Chinese cultural elements.
It’s a dazzling, refreshing show that blended well Tai Chi and dances in various styles against the spectacular landscape of Jiangnan, southern area of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
The World Festival of Circus Art “IDOL” was organized in 2013 and established itself as one of the most prestigious circus contests in the circus world.
