In the first half of the year, Jiangsu Province received new orders of 132 ships (10.776 million DWT), an increase of 178.1 percent year-on-year, and 99.4 percent were for exports.
New orders accounted for 24.6 percent of the world market share, 47.5 percent of the national total.
Three major shipbuilding bases in Nantong, Yangzhou and Taizhou received new orders of 102 ships (9.689 million DWT) in total, an increase of 294.2 percent, and among them 99.5 percent were for exports.
