A techno-graduate in Suzhou city ranks among Forbes’s 2018 list of the top 30 Chinese entrepreneurs under the age of 30, the 7th annual ranking of its kind.

Qi Bin, who starts up his business by drawing pictures, is ranked in the annual list for the first time.

Qi Bin graduated from Xi'an University of Science and Technology, used to work as an engineer and later became a civil servant. But he was not satisfied with the status quo.

With the solid foundation laid down from a young age, coupled with the spread of the network platform, the painting style of Qi Bin quickly attracted the attention of investors. He simply resigned and started a business with a team of painters focusing on the personal IP market.

When you open the WeChat mini program, you can find different styles of private customized products that can be printed on clothing, cans, mobile phone cases, and even become WeChat emoticons. At present, "Drawing You”, founded by Qi Bin, has nearly 2.5 million users with its annual turnover reaching 100 million yuan, ranking the top spot in the personal IP design market. Qi is therefore listed on the top of the "Marketing and Advertising" in Forbes’s 2018 list of the top 30 Chinese entrepreneurs under the age of 30.

In 2016, Forbes launched its inaugural 30 Under 30 Asia list to highlight 300 of the most talented young innovators in the region. Unsurprisingly, Chinese representation has been strong: 129 Chinese have made the list to date -- 51 in 2016 and 78 in 2017. And this time is no different with as many as 59 Chinese honorees, the second highest number after India.

These emerging Chinese entrepreneurs have one thing in common: They're racing to apply advanced technologies to disrupt multiple industries as China catches up with the West in terms of innovation.
