East China’s Jiangsu Province will develop a modern service industry in the second half of the year, according to the Fourth Plenary Session of the 13th Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China. Measures will be taken from productive service industry, headquarters economy and cultural tourism industry so as to accelerate the development of modern service industry in the province.
To speed up the development of modern service industry, the province will first of all solve the problem of insufficient initiative and lack of farsightedness in the development of the service industry in the province, according to a statement released after the meeting.
The integration of manufacturing and service industries requires rapid response from talent, logistics, capital flow, and information flow, the statement said.
In particular, Jiangsu should take the productive service industry as the main direction to provide service for local enterprises and promote global service for the international market by focusing on the manufacturing clusters and making orderly layout from modern logistics, industrial design, financial services, intellectual property protection, inspection and testing, education and training so as to make pragmatic advancement and promote the province's industry to accelerate the transformation from manufacturing-oriented to production service-oriented.
To speed up the development of modern service industry, Jiangsu must vigorously develop the headquarters economy, and strive to introduce multinational corporation headquarters, regional headquarters and decision-making centers of domestic large enterprise group, profit centers, research and development centers, and focus on gathering a group of high-energy and dynamic economic entities, the statement said.
In addition, it is necessary to enhance the development consciousness of the cultural tourism industry, fully activate the market mechanism, and plan a number of influential landmark projects to make the cultural tourism industry an important support for the province’s economy, according to the statement.
