Lou Qinjian, secretary of the provincial party committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, went on an inspection tour to the Provincial Armed Police Corps and an Army Aviation Brigade to convey holiday greetings and festive congratulations to the servicemen and servicewomen in the province. Lou made the inspection tour right before the PLA Army Day which falls on August 1st.
Lou Qinjian visited the Provincial Armed Police Corps Combat Service Command Center to watch the special film of the reform and construction of the army, learn about the training and extend cordial greetings to the officers and soldiers.
The Armed Police Force has made outstanding contributions to maintaining social harmony and stability and ensuring people's livelihood and happiness in Jiangsu, Lou said.
The CPC Provincial Chief gave the thumbs-up to the Provincial Armed Police Corps for its adherence to the guidance of Xi Jinping’s strong military thinking, resolutely implemented the decision-making and deployment of the Central Military Commission, and promoted remarkable achievements in various reforms and construction.
We must give firm support to the reform of the armed police force for a strong military force, relying on the mission of the armed police force in the new era, promoting the in-depth development of military-civilian integration and actively supporting the actual combat training of the troops on the basis of science and technology, Lou said.
He hoped that the Jiangsu Armed Police will continue to carry forward its fine tradition of being the people's army, play the role of the ballast stone for social stability, and make greater contributions to the construction of a new Jiangsu.
The Army Aviation Brigade is an elite and heroic warfare division. It has successfully completed major tasks such as earthquake relief, military exercises and military parade.
When visiting the barracks for the third battalion, Lou Qinjian learned more about the pilot training, study and living conditions, and asked the relevant departments of the province and Nanjing to cooperate with the troops for improvement in logistics and services.
He said that through hard training, the soldiers have not only won the honor for the troops, but also made contributions to the national defense and military modernization.
The CPC Provincial chief said that we will give greater support to the reform and strengthening of modernization for the troops in Jiangsu, help the servicemen solve practical difficulties and carry out the mission of being the strong backup for the troops stationed in the province.
He also hoped that the servicemen and servicewomen will carry forward the fine tradition of supporting the government and the people, support local economic and social development and join hands with the local government for the promotion of high-quality development.
