The 2018 Annual Meeting of the Chinese Society of Social Sciences and the awarding ceremony of the second Fei Xiaotong Academic Achievement Award were held Monday morning at the Xianlin Campus of Nanjing University.
With the theme of "Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era: Social Modernization", 1,900 academic papers were presented to 67 sub-forums of the annual event.
The second "Fei Xiaotong Academic Achievement Award" was also presented at the meeting. Li Peilin, deputy director of the National People's Congress Social Construction Committee and vice president of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, became the only winner of this year’s award in the field of sociology with his unique academic ideas and academic contributions.
