The 2018 Yangtze River Delta Smart Economy Summit went underway in Suzhou on Wednesday. Experts and scholars as well as corporate representatives from Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui exchanged ideas and sought cooperation under the theme of smart economy and development engine.
The participants reached the consensus that in the development of smart economy, the Yangtze River Delta shares the advantages of both Shanghai's international financial and technological strength and Jiangsu's manufacturing industry. It also has the magnifying advantages of Zhejiang Internet genes and the huge entrepreneurial innovation clusters of Anhui.
The three provinces and one municipality should get united and cooperated, and strive to transform the Yangtze River Delta region into the most influential intelligent economic agglomeration highland, development pioneer zone and demonstration leading zone in the fields of intelligent products, intelligent manufacturing and intelligent services.
Experts pointed out that at present, the smart industry in the Yangtze River Delta, represented by artificial intelligence and block chain, has a good momentum of development, but the industry stills falls short of digitization and intelligence. If the intelligent economy and the digital economy are to be done, there must be a platform to serve, and it is necessary to break the boundaries in the sharing of data resources, they argued.
