The opening ceremony of the first postcrossing exchange exhibition in Wuxi, Jiangsu province was held in the city’s library on July 8.
The exhibition showed about 350 postcards from the city itself and dozens of countries including Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, U.S., the Netherlands and Russia, covering over 25 topics, such as landscape, zodiac animals, maps, lighthouses and 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The local part showcased postcards depicting Jiangnan, the southern area of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, as well as old postcards about Wuxi's scenery in late Qing Dynasty.
Wuxi Post issued a commemorative pre-stamped envelope designed by the Wuxi Library for the exhibition, making it China’s first postcrossing-themed pre-stamped envelope.
The exhibition will run until July 18.
