Organized by the Suzhou Research Institute of the National University of Singapore (NUSRI), the 4th China-Singapore International Science and Technology Exchange and Innovation Conference, known as InnovFest Suzhou 2018, was unveiled on the morning of June 20.
More than 200 well-known enterprises and investment organizations had a face-to-face exchange in the conference, which also displayed over 100 sci-tech projects from Singapore and other regions.
Founded in 2010, NUSRI is the first research institute operated independently while built by world-class universities in China. InnovFest Suzhou, organized by NUSRI, has been held annually since 2015. In total, the conference has attracted more than 300 sci-tech projects, over 800 companies and organizations, and nearly 3,000 participants.
Amid the Belt and Road Initiative, the theme of the two-day conference is to promote China-ASEAN cooperation on science and technology innovation. It has invited many sci-tech projects and enterprises from Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia and other ASEAN countries and places to Suzhou for cooperation and development. In response to the hot S&T topics, the conference composed of sessions on three themes - artificial intelligence, health, green and smart cities. These sessions included keynote speeches, project roadshows, project achievement demonstration, investor meetings, and high-end talent matching events.
