In 2017, China reported significant progress in the creation, application, protection, management and services of intellectual property, according to the 2017 China Intellectual Property Development Evaluation Report released Tuesday by the Intellectual Property Development Research Center of the State Intellectual Property Administration.
The report shows that in 2017, Guangdong, Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang reported relatively high level of comprehensive development index of intellectual property rights while Jilin and Hunan recorded fast development.
The report analyzes the development of intellectual property rights in 40 countries including 34 countries of the Organization for Economic Co-operation, BRICS, and Singapore.
China ranked 10th in 2016 from 19th in 2012 in the world ranking of intellectual property development, the report shows.
