The cross-strait industrial cooperation forum was held in Kunshan on Monday. More than 100 experts and scholars from the cross-strait industry and academia and industry professionals conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on the theme of “sharing new opportunities and seeking new development”.
At the opening ceremony, the Cross-Strait Industrial Cooperation Research Center was unveiled. Experts and scholars from both sides made keynote speeches on issues such as cross-strait industrial cooperation under the challenge of international trade.
Three sub-forums were held during the forum by focusing on cross-strait entrepreneur dialogues, cross-strait financial innovation cooperation, and cross-strait cultural and creative industry cooperation.
Up to now, Kunshan has approved over 4,900 Taiwan-funded enterprises with a total investment of over 59 billion U.S. dollars, making it one of the regions with the most active investment by Taiwanese businessmen in the mainland, the largest number of Taiwanese companies, and the most frequent cross-strait economic, trade and cultural exchanges.
