The Jiangning District Museum in Nanjing has rolled out artificial intelligence service to allow the visitors follow the AI virtual tour guides to browse the venue and use AR technology to enter the space-time tunnel to come in close contact with historical figures.
In the Eastern Jin Exhibition Hall of Jiangning District Museum, tourists can apply for a tablet device that is installed with an artificial intelligence app. When opening the app, the virtual tour guide “Xiao Ke” will show you around the venue to explain in detail the characteristics of cultural relics and the time of the excavation.
The tablet device also uses virtual 3D scene to lead into the remote past in the capacity of a visitor.
In some specific historical scenes, the virtual tour guide can also lead the visitors to have a dialogue with the ancient people through time and space.
