The regional final of Suzhou Sub-venue of the 2018 China Engineering Robot Contest kicked off at the Suzhou Robot Exhibition Experience Center by attracting contestants from 10 universities from all over the country.
The China Engineering Robot Contest was inaugurated in 2011 and is currently the largest comprehensive robotics innovation contest in China. The competition covers 18 major items such as handling engineering, athletics engineering, and imitation fighting. The Suzhou sub-venue event is carried out through robot handling, small off-road, and humanoid robot racing.
The participants set up procedural orders to allow the robots to complete cross-country obstacles within the prescribed route, thereby enabling them to work as replacements or assisters.
The contestants come from Soochow University, China University of Mining and Technology, and North China Electric Power University and some others. The participating teams hoped to explore the talents of engineering robots during the competition, and at the same time connect with the actual needs of enterprises and boost the launch of venture projects.
