The Jiangsu Cultural Carnival made a stunning appearance Friday evening in Hong Kong by bringing local art lovers and tourists to feel the charm of art scenes, taste buds, and lively events from Jiangsu.
Everything from Jiangsu is on offer, from Zhenjiang potlid noodles, Yangzhou fried rice, Crab soup, to duck blood vermicellisoup, Huai'an crayfish andHuaiyang classic dishes. Hong Kong residents competed to savor the authentic Jiangsu cuisines.
Meanwhile, the visitors can participate in various interactive games and fun activities. Jiangsu enterprises have set up a small arts and crafts forums to allow Hong Kong citizens to experience the province’s fine craftsmanship and modern technology.
38 intangible exhibits including Nanjing Yunjin, Suzhou embroidery, jade carving, purple sand, and Huishan clay figurines are the highlights of this carnival.
Suzhou embroidery work "Silk Road – West of Chang'an",emerald work mantis cabbage, lacquer vase "Spring Fairview" and other rare craftsmanship masterpieces from Jiangsu were displayed so that Hong Kong people can see the continuity of the Chinese civilization.
The Provincial Tourism Administration announced Saturday morning that 10,000 Hong Kong citizens will be invited to visit Jiangsu and 10,000 young students from Hong Kong and Macao to study in Jiangsu this year and experience the beauty of Jiangsu's landscape and humanities.
