Vice Governor Ma Qiulin met Saturday morning in Nanjing with Yu Feng, vice president of Honeywell's Global Material and Technology Group.
Ma Qiulin noted that Jiangsu is actively implementing the opening up and strengthening of the innovation capacity proposed by the 19th CPC National Congress so as to promote the formation of a new pattern of opening up, enhance the open economy, and strive to attract outstanding companies and talented teams with core competitiveness and help Jiangsu enterprises embedded in global industrial chains, value chains, and innovation chains.
Honeywell's development strategy is highly compatible with the transformation and upgrading of the industry in Jiangsu, the vice governor said, adding that the investment operations in Jiangsu have achieved good results and the government will increase the funding to establish the world's largest petrochemical technology research and development center.
Jiangsu's governments at all levels will strengthen their links with international economic and trade rules, increase transparency, strengthen protection of property rights, create a more attractive investment environment, and provide more high-quality services for companies from all over the world to invest in Jiangsu.
Yu Feng said that Jiangsu's electronic information industry and petrochemical industry are well developed and have a high degree of correlation with Honeywell's products. To date, Honeywell has launched 9 companies in Jiangsu. The next step is to introduce advanced equipment and advanced technology into Jiangsu and put more new products into production in Jiangsu.
