The key project of the construction of Nanjing's innovative city campaign- the project of the Qilin Science and Technology Town of the Nanjing Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was officially started.
About 4 billion yuan of investment will be injected into the Qilin Science and Technology Town project of the Nanjing Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
150,000 square meters of floor space will be constructed within this year and some of the main building blocks will be roofed. The main part of the project will be completed next year to become operational the following year.
Upon completion, the Qilin Science and Technology Town will house the Nanjing Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Nanjing Institute of Soil Research, the Purple Mountain Observatory and other research institutions to bring together a group of high-end research platforms such as national key laboratories and national engineering laboratories and nearly 2,000 researchers.
