An awarding ceremony for the Foreigners Writing about Jiangsu contest, co-organized by Jiangsu People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and Xinhua Daily Media Group, was held in Nanjing City on the afternoon of April 3, attracting contest participants and hundreds of people.
The contest received 320 stories written by foreigners from more than 50 countries, and 76 entries stood out after several rounds of selection. Among the winners, some have spent more than 20 years in Jiangsu, some have gained true love and children in Jiangsu, and some have developed brotherhood-like friendships with Jiangsu people. They not only shared pleasant times such as playing chess, holding dinner parties and travelling together, but also helped each other by donating to earthquake rescue and organizing volunteer services.
