Deputies to the first session of the 13th NPC met the press Tuesday morning to take questions on hot issues concerning social and economic development.

Li Shufu, Xiao Wei, and Yang Wei, deputies to the 13th National People's Congress, gave an interview before the closing meeting of the first session of the 13th NPC in Beijing, on Tuesday morning.

As the only deputy from the traditional Chinese medicine industry, Xiao Wei attracted considerable attention. He took the questions from a reporter with Jiangsu TV Station.

Xiao Wei, CEO of Jiangsu Canion Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd, said the biggest problem is that Chinese patent medicines have not officially registered as pharmaceuticals and entered the international market. This has always been a bottleneck restricting the inheritance and development of Chinese medicine. The report of the 19th CPC National Congress proposed that both Chinese and Western medicine should be adhered to and inherited to better develop traditional Chinese medicine. To promote the internationalization of Chinese medicine, we must highlight the four key words of "focus, standards, promotion, and encouragement."

Xiao Wei, an NPC deputy

It is necessary to form these standards for the therapeutic effect and evaluation of proprietary Chinese medicines in the therapeutic field, and to establish a standard series and standard system from raw materials, the production process to the finished products, and to upgrade the advanced level of production and manufacturing. In the international market registration of Chinese patent medicines, I believe that the state and society should encourage them to unite and live up to the expectations of the General Secretary so that the internationalization of Chinese medicine will become better and go further.

As the chief designer of the Chengdu J-20 fighter, Yang Wei took the question on fourth-generation stealth fighter developed independently by China. Yang Wei said that the development of Chengdu J-20 fighter has achieved the established goals of creating new inter-generational machines by leading the development of technology, innovating the R&D system, and building an excellent team, demonstrating the Chinese aviation industry's innovation history from following to spearheading.

The Chengdu J-20, China's independently developed fourth-generation stealth fighter has entered service with the People's Liberation Army Air Force.

As a masterpiece of China's modern air force, China's first stealth fighter J-20 symbolizes the high speed of development in China's national defense capacity.

Yang Wei, an NPC deputy

On the one hand, we will vigorously support the formation of combat effectiveness as soon as possible. On the other hand, we will also carry out serialized development and continuously improve the aircraft's combat capabilities. At the same time, we will actively explore a technological path of corner overtaking by innovating and developing new fighters that meet the needs of national strategies, and continue to advance on the journey of mechanization, digitalization, and intelligent manufacturing.

Ma Hengyan, Wang Xiaohong and Fu Kangnian also took questions on relying on the "Internet + Education" model to help children in remote mountainous areas to realize their dreams, the artistic innovation and development of Ulan Muqi cultural troupe, and the creative development models of the traditional media.
