The 9th Suzhou Jinji Lake International Marathon took place yesterday and about 30,000 runners participated in the competition.
The Jinji Lake International Marathon was first launched in 2010 and listed as an official sports competition by the Chinese Athletic Association in 2013. It consists of four events — half marathon, short marathon, mini marathon and family run.
This year, Cao Shaobo, 24, won the first prize of men’s half marathon with an hour, eight minutes and 26 seconds. Jiao Anjing, a university student from North China Electric Power University, won the women’s half marathon with an hour, 20 minutes and 50 seconds.
