The Little Red Flower Art Troupe of Nanjing Art Primary School gave its 4th performance after they arrived in the UK at Carnoustie High School in Scotland on February 22nd, 2018.
The performance is held to celebrate the Chinese New Year and also the golden era for UK-China relations.
Invited by the Ministry of Culture and led by the Chinese Embassy in the United Kingdom, the Culture Department of Jiangsu Province sent the Nanjing Little Red Flower Art Troupe to Britain for a 17-day tour. The group will perform for 15 times in cities like London, Preston, Dundee, Glasgow and Belfast. They will also interact face-to-face with local students in a number of schools.
The Little Red Flower Art Troupe arrived in London on February 16th local time. After a short break, the young performers presented a wonderful performance for the local people at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich next day. Mr. Xiang Xiaowei, Cultural Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in the United Kingdom, said: "I hope the young actors and actresses will be able to open their hearts, build friendships and strengthen their skills during the tour. We would like them to share the profound Chinese culture with the British people. At the same time, we hope them to have a broad understanding of British history, strengthen mutual communication and be a real cultural ambassador."
