The annual Zhangjiagang Xiangshan Plum Blossom festival will arrive on Feb 10 to offer local residents a chance to enjoy plum blossoms' beautiful shape and keen fragrance.
Xiangshan Scenic Area in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province has planted over 10 varieties of plum trees on 300 mu (20 hectares) of land, which have now transformed the mountain into a huge bed of flowers.
A variety of interesting activities will also be available for tourists who choose to visit this beautiful and unique venue, such as creating flower-shaped ornaments and plum blossom-themed paintings, making New Year's blessings and taking snapshots of the best views in Xiangshan.
They will also be able to enjoy a discount on weekend admission fees by wearing hanfu, traditional Chinese costumes worn to commemorate Chinese festivals.
The festival is open until March 11. The ticket price is 60 yuan ($8.95) per person. Zhangjiagang local residents with an ID card can enjoy a discount price of 20 yuan ($2.98) per person. Senior citizens (aged 60 to 69) and students with student ID card will receive a half price discount.
