The Jinji Lake Music Fountain in Suzhou city reopened to visitors on Thursday evening. The rebuilt music fountain is 200 meters long and 140 meters wide. The Jinji Lake Music Fountain was then China's biggest waterscape fountain featuring application of the most advanced technology and incorporation of the most diversified performance elements. It had been in operation for eight years before it was closed on June 1, 2014 to give way for a tunnel construction project at Xinggang Street. It gave more than 1,500 waterscape shows that attracted over 20 million audiences, including both local citizens and tourists. The new music fountain offers visitors a great visual entertainment of water dances. It helps create a modern urban waterscape with rich cultural connotation to meet the needs of major celebrations and the visitors.
