Five municipal high schools will be introduced to Jiangbei New District, Hexi New Town, Southern New Town, Yanziji New Town of Qixia District, Yuhua Bridges Area and other areas within five years from 2018-2023 according to a plan made by Nanjing Education Bureau in 2017. According to the plan, the optimization project includes two parts: district high school upgrading and municipal high school incremental project. Each district will draw up a five-year plan for the upgrading of a new high school, especially a five-year new campus construction plan for six district high schools, including Nanjing No. 13 High School and Nanjing No. 29 High School.
In the coming five years from 2018 to 2023, new campuses of Nanjing Foreign Language School，High School Affiliated To Nanjing Normal University，Jinling High School，Zhong Hua Middle School and Nanjing No.1 Middle School will land in the Jiangbei New District, the Hexi New Town, the Southern New Town, Yanziji New Town of Qixia District and the Yuhua Bridges Area. High quality educational mechanisms will be introduced into the newly constructed campuses.
