Wu Zhenglong, deputy secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and Governor of Jiangsu, joined a group deliberation of deputies from Huai’an city to the annual session of the Provincial People's Congress in Nanjing, capital of east China’s Jiangsu province on the morning of January 29.
Wu Zhenglong said the report of the work of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress has a clear thinking, a clear focus, a rich content, and a simple style of writing by implementing the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, and the important instructions made by General Secretary Xi Jinping on the work of Jiangsu.
The governor also spoke highly of the report that is in consistency with the spirit of the 13th Provincial Party Congress and the 3rd Plenary Session of the 13th Provincial CPC Committee, fully demonstrating the unification of insisting on the role of the Party’s leadership, people being the masters of the country and governing the country according to law.
Huai’an is the hometown of our beloved Premier Zhou Enlai and this year marks the 120th anniversary of Premier Zhou's birthday, the governor said, adding that people in Jiangsu will keep in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping's expectations and dedication so as to develop Premier Zhou's hometown to a new height.
The governor also made specific requirements on the social and economic development in Huai’an in the next five years.
