A heavy snow has swept across Jiangsu these several days and many people volunteered to clean snow and offer convenience for traffic and pedestrians. Three foreigners, who are the executives of a company located in Jiangning District, Nanjing, joined the teams of snow removal. Lewis, CFO of the company who’s from Michigan in the United States, received quite a surprise when he heard about his picture of snow removal being circulated on many people’s Wechat moments. After nine years in China, Lewis unexpectedly got more popular around people.
On the morning of Jan 25, staffs in many companies located in Jiangning began to clean snow in their factory yards. Around 9 am, three executives including CEO and vice CEO from Japan and CFO Lewis joined the people to clean snow. More and more people joined the snow removers upon the scene.
Lewis said that in his hometown, it’s common to see such a heavy snow but very rare here in Nanjing. Michigan is a place of snow and people there need to clean snow away time and time again during one winter. Joining the crowd to clean the snow, Lewis said it’s the same in Michigan that the government is responsible to remove the snow on the main roads while companies and households clean snow in their yards.
