Readers in Wuxi can now borrow, return and even donate books by scanning a QR code with their mobile phones at any time without going to libraries after joining a book-reading alliance.
A ceremony to mark the launch of “Wu-Charm Book Fragrance” City Reading Alliance was held in Wuxi city, Jiangsu province, on Dec 20, marking the official beginning of the construction of the book-reading site network in the city.
The construction of alliance started in April this year. To date, 50 book-reading sites have been built, preliminarily forming a book-reading site network, which covers towns and communities, facilitating circulation of books and book reading in the city.
