A batch of top wool products was recently loaded on a ship bound for Argentina from Zhangjiagang Port of Jiangsu province.

This is the first batch of wool products exported to Argentina from Zhangjiagang city, after the first batch of lanolin was exported to Uruguay from the city in the first half of the year, according to Jiangsu media on Dec 14.

An official from Zhangjiagang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau (ZIQB) said that Zhangjiagang is the largest wool spinning base in China. South America was used to be a source of China’s imported wool, and now, it has become a new export destination for China’s wool spinning industry, the official added.

To support local wool product export, the ZIQB, on the one hand, has simplified commodities’ inspection and quarantine process for fast customs clearance. As a result, a large number of cargos for export can pass through the inspection and quarantine on the same day of the declaration, and on the other hand, it also provides technical support for enterprises in their new market exploration, so as to allow export enterprises to avoid losses caused by foreign countries’ technical barrier measures on trade.
