A series of activities on the theme of commemorating the 80th anniversary of Nanjing Massacre was concluded Wednesday morning. Held at the simultaneous time with the fourth state memorial ceremony for victims of the Nanjing Massacre, this ceremony expresses remorse in a different way for those dead in that holocaust 80 years ago in Chinese history. Around 150 representatives from different industries on both sides of the Taiwan strait participated in the concluding ceremony.

Co-organized by Jiangsu Office of Taiwan affairs, All-China Federation of Taiwan Compatriots, China Huanyi Broadcasting Corporation, Want China Times and other institutions, writing competition initiated the ceremony and welcomed its participants and winners.

A prominent part in all the activities and entitled to the same theme of “history should not be forgotten--on the 80th anniversary of Nanjing Massacre”, this contest has received hundreds of pieces of writings from both sides of the strait.

Among all the participants, Oral History Committee from Nanjing University won a group prize, and Dr. He from Taiwan was rewarded the 2nd prize.
