Although it’s still months away from the Chinese Lunar New Year, yesterday’s Nanjing did embrace some joy of the festival. Why is that? It is because the 2017 Spring Festival Gala for Foreigners was recorded in Shiqiu Film Base of Nanjing. About 150 foreigners have participated the gala this year and it will be aired on Jiangsu Satellite TV during Spring Festival.
The Spring Festival Gala is in fact part of the activities of Shared Joy of Jiangsu that was organized by the Provincial Information Office, Foreign Affairs Office and Jiangsu Education Department. Hosted by Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation, the crew went to Shiqiu Film Base to record the gala.
The gala is in fact a special edition of the 2017 Foreigners’ Talent Contest. The contest has attracted over 1,000 contestants from dozens of countries and regions around the world.
The contest features the Foreigners’ sense of belonging to Jiangsu. American singer Jackson has performed My City with his team to express his affection for Nanjing.
The highlights of the evening also include the come-back of TK 11, a group of Foreigners that are well-known for participating Jiangsu Satellite TV’s A Bright World.
Many of the participants got their fame because of the stage. Some even went on national and international stages to perform. The gala will be aired on Jiangsu Satellite TV during the Spring Festival.
