The International Youth Orienteering Training Camp raised the curtain Saturday morning in the Dr Sun Yat-sen Botanical Garden of Nanjing. More than 50 contestants from China, Pakistan, Britain, Norway and some other countries and regions gathered in the Botanical Garden early in the morning to get ready for the race. The youngest of them was 10 years old, but they were all senior enthusiasts of orienteering. Before the start of the race the contestants were given the map which will enable them to find the locations in the right order and he who made it in the shortest time wins. The orienteering camp will also be held in Suzhou and Yixing. The contestants, who come from the countries participating in the Belt and Road initiative, will be arranged to visit the Purple Mountain Observatory and the Suzhou Museum for cultural integration and mutual understanding.
