The 2017 session of Automechanika Shanghai concluded Saturday at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. The event is otherwise known as the Shanghai International Trade Fair for Automotive Parts, Equipment and Service Suppliers.
Each year, the show continues to expand with the scale, exhibitor and visitor figures increasing. This year’s exhibition space climbed to 340,000 squire meters. Approximately 6,000 exhibitors from 40 countries and regions attended. The number of visitors attending the show increased to 130,000 from 140 countries and regions.
Automechanika Shanghai, the world’s second largest Automechanika trade fair for automotive parts, accessories, equipment and services, has made a name for itself after many years of development, advancement and dedication to the industry since its establishment in 2004.
The show has built its reputation as the acclaimed ‘must-attend’ industry event for information exchange, marketing, trading and education, serving the scope of the automotive industry from Parts & Components, Repair & Maintenance, Accessories & Customizing and Electronics & Systems. Automechanika Shanghai is one of 15 Automechanika fairs held in Africa, Asia, Europe and North, Central and South America.
The trade fair has provided a platform for Jiangsu’s Auto and spare parts industry to seize the exchange and cooperation opportunities brought about by the country’s promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Jiangsu launched an automobile and automotive aftermarket promotion fair on the sideline of the Automechanika Shanghai.
In 2016, the province’s automobile manufacturing industry turned out 796.8 billion yuan of added value, up 13.1% from a year ago. The province’s transportation and transportation equipment sectors registered 16.4 billion USD of exports, accounting for 5% of the province’s entire export volume.
