East China’s Jiangsu province has phased out 6.34 million tons of excess steel production capacity since the start of this year, according to the site acceptance by the national inspection team for phasing out redundant production capacity. The excess steel production capacity was phased out by 9 enterprises which knocked out 9 smelting equipment to measure up to the annual targets. Jiangsu has so far fulfilled this year’s targets for phasing out excess steel production capacity, paving the way for the fulfillment of the targets for the 13th five-year plan period.
