When gingko leaves have turned yellow on the campus of Suiyuan in Nanjing Normal University, you’ll be amazed at how beautiful they are!

The fall has turned Nanjing into the most beautiful city.

The red maples on Qixia Mountain haven’t come into the best period to greet people’s eyes, yet the gingko trees have already shaken off the golden color along Beijing West Road.

Only here on the campus of Suiyuan, can people relish the best of fall.

Having appreciated the antique sense of Nanjing University in Gulou District, arriving at the campus of Suiyuan, people will immediately feel the tranquility and serenity inside.

Gingko trees on the most charming campus

The signature building of No.100 is a must-go on Suiyuan campus.

The popular lawn which’s attractive to so many people is still green, maintaining the trace of summer. Gingko trees on both sides are still in their most alluring colors of gold.

The two 100 years old gingko trees, vibrant and solemn, are the most attractive view on the campus.

Golden yellow of gingko leaves, lush green of pines and cypresses, ardent red of Chinese tiles, paint a most appealing picture of this campus.

Whatever background and whatever angle, every picture presents a sense of old times. This fall, the gingko trees have been the topic of everyone who’s familiar with Nanjing.

Though the gingko trees are not in a great number, they are amazing enough to attract attention.

Gingko trees have witnessed the long history

The ancient styled lampshade brings about a kind of genuine beauty, and pieces of montage in old films telling about an old Nanjing.

Some gardening expert once said that this gingko tree was born with the establishment of Suiyuan campus. From 1902 to 2017, the leaves and branches have witnessed the development of Nanjing Normal University.

From 1978, every gingko tree on Suiyuan campus got their own “ID” including number and age. Though centuries old, they are still thriving and flourishing.

The familiar crossroad under the gingko tree

Look up, you could see the golden crowns; look down, you could see the fallen leaves; listen carefully, you would hear some tunes hummed by a student nearby.

Having a walk on the leaves covered path and listening to the rustling sound, you would think of nothing but the passed youth and happiness.

People may have passed here thousands of times but never given it a long and steady look, until every fall comes, until every picture of gingko trees catches their eyes.

Gingko trees on Suiyuan campus are in their best season. Find a weekend and take your camera, go enjoy them and the transient fall.
