Industrial economy in Jiangsu maintained a stable and good development trend with the economic efficiency improved in the first ten months of the year, figures from the provincial commission of economy and information technology show.
Prime operating revenue and industrial profits from enterprises above designated scale maintained moderate growth during the period to continue its leading streak in the country.
In the first 10 months of this year, the Dafeng Industrial Park in the Changzhou new and hi-tech zone posted an annual revenue growth of 50% in the first ten months, latest figures show. Advanced manufacturing enterprises such as those engaged in machinery, optical lenses and wind power equipment have played an important role in the promotion of the economic growth.
The industrial park has put into production 15 new and hi-tech projects this year with 82 patent applications submitted. More than a dozen new investment projects in advanced manufacturing and optical modules have provided growth momentum for the sustained development of the economy.
Jiangsu has maintained steady growth in its investment on industrial and technological transformation with the total industrial investment exceeding 2 trillion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 6% and 2.7%higher than the national average. The industrial technology investment grew 11% year on year, accounting for 58.3% of the entire industrial investment during the period. 70% of the investment has been injected into the emerging industries of strategic importance to give a strong footing to the province’s industrial economy growth.
The cash output of the industrial enterprises above the designated size increased 13% year on year and 6.3% higher from the same period of last year. Steel, engineering machinery, chemical fiber and computer are among the sectors that posted the fastest growth during the period.
