China Xuzhou International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conference kicked off Wednesday in Xuzhou city, Jiangsu province. The theme of the conference is Home Program boosts entrepreneurship and innovation for win-win. Home Program refers to Help Our Motherland through Elite Intellectual Resources from Overseas, a talent recruiting program launched by the China Association of Science and Technology. 105 overseas experts carried out project road shows while contracts were signed on the spot for 149 intentional cooperation projects. Wang Tongshan, an academician with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and a renowned Chinese economist, Piero Scarufi, the Silicon Valley spiritual preacher and founder of the Silicon Valley Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, delivered keynote speeches. As of the first half of this year, Xuzhou had registered 351 national level high-tech enterprises with the output value from the hi-tech sector expected to hit 260 billion yuan this year.
