CPC Jiangsu chief, Governor meets with Taiwanese entrepreneurs

  Lou Qinjian, CPC provincial secretary of Jiangsu and Wu Zhenglong, Governor of Jiangsu, met Monday afternoon in Nanjing with Taiwanese entrepreneurs attending the Zijinshan Summit for Entrepreneurs across the Taiwan Strait.

  The CPC Jiangsu Provincial chief and the governor of Jiangsu met with Terry Gou, chairman of Hon Hai Precision, the world's largest electronics contract manufacturer.

  Lou noted that Hon Hai Group has made a positive contribution to deepening economic cooperation between the both sides of the Taiwan Strait, especially in the promotion of the cooperation between Jiangsu and Taiwan.

  Jiangsu has attached great importance to the development of electronic information industry to make it the key for the promotion of economic transformation and upgrading, the CPC Jiangsu provincial chief said, adding that Jiangsu is looking forward to the deepening of cooperation for win-win results.

  Terry Guo said the achievements of Jiangsu's economic and social development are encouraging, and Hon Hai Group will seize the current opportunity to promote further cooperation between the two sides.

  When meeting with Rock Sheng-hsiung Hsu, Chairman of Cal-Comp Electronics & Communications Co Ltd and chairman of Taiwan Chamber Of Commerce, Lou Qinjian remarked that Jiangsu encourages businessmen from Taiwan to invest and develop in Jiangsu for the promotion of the exchange and cooperation between Jiangsu and Taiwan to a new height.

  The CPC Jiangsu provincial chief and the governor also met with C. C. Wei, Co-Chief Executive Officer and President of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited, Chiao Yu-Cheng, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Winbond Electronics Corp, and Chiao Yu-Lon, Chairman of Walsin Lihwa Corp. Lou spoke highly of their investment projects in Jiangsu and the contributions they have made to the provinces economic development.

  The Zijinshan Summit was first held in 2008. In 2013, the mainland and Taiwan each set up councils dedicated to the platform for business exchange and cooperation.
