The launching ceremony of Israel Culture Week was held in Shanghai this Wednesday. As a country of honor for 19th China Shanghai International Arts Festival, Israel is going to showcase the comprehensive and classical achievements in Israeli art during Israel Culture Week.
Hosted at the house of Roosevelt in Shanghai，the opening ceremony of Israel Culture Week welcomed the presence of Mr. Propper, Consul General of Israel; Li Ming, Vice President of Shanghai International Arts Festival; as well as Madame Jin Xing, famous dancer, talk show hostess and honored guest to this launching ceremony. Addressing everyone presented, Mr. Propper announced the opening of this culture week and encouraged people to know more about Israel and its cultural heritages. Madame Jin Xing, who’s deeply attached to Israeli culture and art, expressed her affection and hoped people could know more about Israel and its amazing art.
Yaron Kohlberg, who is among today’s top Israeli pianists，presented a wonderful live performance. He will play again on Nov. 14 in Cadillac. Shanghai Concert Hall and other venues afterwards during the upcoming Israel Culture Week.
Over the past years, China Shanghai International Arts Festival has earned its reputation as the most prestigious festival in China. To mark the 25 years of the diplomatic ties between China and Israel, the committee of Shanghai arts festival invites Israel to be the country of honor this year and to host Israel Culture Week. During this week, some of Israel’s finest artists will perform in Shanghai to highlight soul-to-soul communication through arts.
