Some 1000 businesspersons from 30 countries and regions showed up for the fourth session of China International Logistics Development Conference that went underway Wednesday in Xuzhou city, Jiangsu province. The conference is jointly sponsored by China Transportation Association and the International Logistics and Transport Society.
Ma Qiulin, vice governor of Jiangsu, attended the opening ceremony. According to Ma, Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government have attached great importance to the development of the logistics industry which has gathered momentum in recent years and given a strong impetus to the province’s economic and social development. In 2016, the output value of the province’s logistics industry reached 24.6 trillion yuan.
23 logistics projects were signed with a total investment of 127.8 billion yuan, including 2 foreign investment projects to be invested with 130 million U.S. dollars.
The two-day conference will see five sub-forums and 3 themed activities centering on the integrated development of the international logistics and the development of international multimodal transportation.
