On the early morning of Oct 17, a team of pupils at Baiyunyuan Primary School in Gulou district of Nanjing city, East China’s Jiangsu province was very excited to wait for Arthur Jackson, a basketball coach from the United States, who would come to train them.
It was learned a team of basketball lovers at the school usually gather at the school’s playground every weekend to play basketball under the guidance of the school’s coach. This time, they had an opportunity to receive over one hour’s training from a foreign coach, and they learned much from the foreign coach’s unique and novel training methods, including basic basketball skills, defensive players’ gestures and tips on grabbing rebounds.
