Cloth shoes on Gaochun Old Street
The Gaochun Old Street, also known as Chunxi Old Street, in Gaochun district of Nanjing, is a business center. It's also the best-preserved ancient building complex in Jiangsu province and is reputed as the "No.1 ancient street of Jinling (old name of Nanjing)".
Cotton cloth shoe, one of traditional handicrafts in China, was created in the Zhou Dynasty and is now listed as a national intangible cultural heritage. It is still popular to make cloth shoes among the seniors on the Gaochun Old Street.
