The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China has released its annual position paper---European Business in China on September 20th in Nanjing after its debut in Beijing a day earlier. As a major publication of European Chamber, the paper calls on the Chinese leadership to continue the public commitments it made to economic globalization and openness throughout 2017.
The release on Wednesday serves as a respond to China’s public commitment it made at the World Economic Forum and the State Council Document No.5. The committee evaluates how the Chinese authorities have followed through so far.

In terms of European Businesses in Jiangsu Province, chairman of European Chamber, Nanjing Chapter Mr. Bernhard Weber said the investment environment of Nanjing is optimistic.

He also suggested that European companies in Jiangsu and the local government should maintain open dialogues.

As a primary annual publication of European chamber, the position paper was first initialized 17 years ago when China was about to join the WTO.

The European Business in China – Position Paper 2017 – 2018 offers Chinese policy makers about 800 recommendations, which were drawn from its over 1,600 member companies.
