The Jiangsu Provincial People’s Hospital launched its new emergency medical center on Monday. The new emergency medical center is located on the south side of the emergency complex building with the areas expanded from the original 3000 square meters to 9200 square meters from the increase of the infusion rooms, chairs, observation room beds and ward beds, which is expected to ease the gap for ward beds. Two separate units have been installed inside the emergency rescue room for ad hoc trauma recovery room and cardiopulmonary resuscitation room. In addition, the emergency department also set up the first DSA complex operating room to integrate CT examination, angiography intervention and surgery to reduce the time spent on rescue. The relocation of the emergency general building of the People's Hospital has also entered its final stage with an additional area of more than 220,000 square meters and 1500 beds to be put to use at the end of this year.
