A $200 million China-Germany intelligent manufacturing industrial park will be built at the end of this year in Taoyuan Town of Wujiang district, according to the press release of the Sino-German Industrial 4.0 and Global Sourcing Conference went underway Tuesday in Wujiang district of Suzhou.

How should China and German enterprises cooperate in intelligent manufacturing? What is the reference for the German Industry 4.0 in promoting the transformation and upgrading of Chinese enterprises? At the summit, more than 200 guests from China and Germany focused on the practice of German Industry 4.0, and how the Chinese enterprises can elbow their way from manufacturing power to manufacturing power. The participants believed that China and Germany have extensive cooperation opportunities in the fields of talent and technology.

A $200 million China-Germany intelligent manufacturing industrial park will be built at the end of this year in Taoyuan Town of Wujiang.

The park will be focused on intelligent manufacturing enterprises and education and training to bridge the opportunities for the enterprises in China and Germany in the intelligent manufacturing, big data and other fields to create a new form of Sino-German cooperation, according to the manager of the Germany Advanced Industrial Science and Technology Research Institute which is responsible for the introduction of the project.

The Industry 4.0 Project is now part of the German government’s official High-Tech Strategy, which it is actively pursuing in conjunction with private sector partners. Its target is to: “Ensure the Future of German Production”.

This concept was first put forward at the Hannover Messe in Germany in 2013. Germany has adopted this idea as its national strategy, aiming to support research, development and innovation of revolutionary new technology.

Responding to technological innovation in Germany, China as the factory of the world has proposed the "Made in China 2025" strategy to promote integration of information and industrialization. This ambitious plan shows China's modesty. China has treated Germany, whose production industry has a worldwide reputation, as a paragon.
