The 2017 Nanjing Mayor’s International Consulting Conference kicked off on Sept 13. Miao Ruilin, deputy secretary of the Nanjing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and mayor of Nanjing, delivered a keynote speech and proposed six questions at the event.
These six questions are finding measures to speed up the upgrading of the primacy ratio of Nanjing, enhance the interconnection of infrastructure, further strengthen the industry's innovative cooperation, promote green development, improve the international level of Nanjing and effectively promote the development of regional integration.
A major strategic decision to build the Yangtze River city cluster was taken by Jiangsu in 2016. Nanjing is the provincial capital of the province, the central city in eastern China and the only mega-city in the Yangtze River Delta region. It is a historical opportunity to build the city cluster strategy. Nanjing will seize the opportunity, utilize and expand its innovation drive, industrial development, transportation hub, open platform and green ecology and other multiple advantages.
